Carle Auditory Oral School is approved by the state of Illinois as a non-public special education program. As a result, through the IEP process, when a school determines that CAOS would be the least restrictive environment and support the child and family’s desired outcome, they can place a child who is deaf and hard of hearing at CAOS, providing funding for tuition and transportation costs.
